Have you met Monica yet? If not, you are in for a treat! This 6’3” baking queen is as cheeky as she is creative! Not only known for her vast baking and caking knowledge but also for her witty innuendo plus fun and engaging demeanour.

Based in Sydney, Monica Cavallaro is a baking and caking powerhouse.  Her business, Moreish Cakes is well known for Monica’s stunningly elegant and deliciously innovative style. Once crowned the Show Stopper Queen, the title has stuck and continues to be earned.

Finishing as a Finalist on the 2016 series of The Great Australian Bake Off on the Foxtel network, Monica has continued to build on her baking strength and recipe development.

In 2017 and 2019, Monica judged and compared the Live Cake Off at Australia’s International Cake Show as well as teach workshops.

2017 right through to 2020 series of Married At First Sight on Channel 9 has seen Monica contribute wedding cakes for all the Sydney and Brisbane weddings. To date she has created over 30 showstoppers for the series.

Monica and her cakes/bakes have been featured on the Foxtel, Lifestlye, Channel 9, 9Now, 9Fix and 9Honey websites and social media home pages.  From there her cakes have been seen in print in Cake Masters, Cake!, Woman’s Weekly, New Idea and Woman’s Day.

Currently teaching cake decorating and baking national wide and Monica can be seen at shows like Cake Bake and Sweets, Sweet Expo and Good Food and Wine Expo

A proud Brand Ambassador for Fondtastic and Kware since 2017. Monica is registered also with both The Australian Cake Decorating Network and The Australian Cake Decorating Association and is a proud active member in both.

Monica has been nominated for Haute Culture Wedding Cake Designer of the Year 2018 and 2019 by Weddings Magazine in conjunction with ACADA. Additional Nominations over the years include Sugar Flower Artist, Sugarcraft and Modelling, Teacher and Wedding Cake Designer of the Year.
