I come from, live and create in Victoria in beautiful Australia.
I have been decorating for over 10 years after being asked to make a cake for a family member back in 2008. It really was an eyesore but I didn’t care. I’d stumbled across a passion that I never knew I had. CAKE ART!
In 2011, I interned at one of the country’s cake meccas and worked alongside and was mentored by some of the best cake artists our planet has to offer. Blessed or what?
During my internship, I appeared on an 8 episode Lifestyle food television series and assisted on creating amazing cakes for people like Jennifer Hawkins, the cast and crew of the Jersey Boys and Lady Gaga.
2011 was also the year I was named finalist in the ABIA awards for best Victorian wedding cake supplier.
Yep! I used to make wedding cakes once upon a time.
Upon completion of my internship, I perused my own business and was blessed enough to receive some exceptional commissions from the likes of Greyhound Buses, Grinders Coffee and Tessa James and Nate Myles.
My work has appeared in many local publications as well as New Idea and Cake Central Magazines and, most recently, Cake Masters Magazine.
After many years of making cake creations for others, at the end of 2018, I decided go full circle and start teaching others via the medium I learned so very many of my skills from in the beginning. The rest, as they say, is history. That is how my YouTube channel ‘That’s Cakeable’ was born.
Now I get to do what I love and share the things I have learned along the way with all of you amazing people!
